Straight after he came to Australia 8 Years ago, Deeb Aqabani managed to be recognized as Chartered Accountant and CPA. He worked in several senior positions including financial controller at University of Sydney and senior accounting positions at Fosters and Key Corp, 2 publicly listed companies. Deeb taught at University of Sydney, TAFE, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is currently teaching at Macquarie University. He is also a recognized trainer and speaker with BEC. His accreditations include MBA, Chartered Accountant, Australian CPA and American CPA.

Understanding Your Financial Statements Workshop

 Understanding your financial statements and controlling cash flow is essential for any successful business. This workshop will explain how to read the financial statements, what the figures are really telling you and how you can use them to make decisions about the most appropriate way to run your business successfully. It will explain simply and succinctly how accountants put together the figures and help you understand what creates value in your business .
After attending the workshop you will be able to:
- Understand how to use the Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheet statements effectively.
- Know the numbers you need to look for to understand your business performance …AND appreciate the importance of analysing those number.
- Learn to interpret and act upon the financial indicators in your business.
- Know how you can increase the value of your business by considering the relevant financial indicators.
- Identify sources of help and information including Website addresses.
This is a small group interactive workshop where participants discuss their own business ideas and seek feedback and advice.
Deeb runs an advisory and accounting business that helps small business owners manage and grow their business successfully. Deeb works closely with small business owners to empower them with the management skills and tools they need to achieve both their business goals and personal goals on a timely basis.
