Between 1987 and 1994, Dean worked at the global accountancy and advisory firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers in their Business Services, Taxation and Insolvency Divisions.
Dean completed a Commerce Degree majoring in accountancy at the University of New South Wales in 1991, a Law Degree at the University of Technology , Sydney in 1994 and a Masters Degree in Law from the University of New South Wales in 2000, specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law.
Dean commenced practice as a solicitor with Warren McKeon Dickson in 1995 and joined the firm as a partner in 1996.

Legal Issues for Managing Your Business Workshop

This 4 hour workshop aims to provide you with a snapshot
of the main legal issues that must be addressed in all
businesses and is presented by Dean Groundwater of Warren McKeon Dickson Lawyers. Topics range from business structures,
contracts and insurance to the legal responsibilities
business owners have to their employees.
At this workshop we will cover:
- Evaluate main types of business structures
- Determine when and why to review a business structure
- Understand the main requirements for employing staff
- Understand requirements of a legal contract
- Determine key insurance issues for their business
- Review business OHS requirements
- Understand customer protection legislation
This is a small group interactive workshop where participants
discuss their own business ideas and seek feedback and
advice. If sufficient demand this workshop
can be run in the evening.
Dean has over 15 years experience providing advice to businesses. Dean's practice now includes the provision of all aspects of legal advice to companies and businesses including transactional work, negotiating and drafting documents, dispute resolution and conducting litigation.
Dean has been a member of the Law Society of New South Wales Commercial Litigation Law & Practice Committee.
