Julie-Anne Knox joined the BEC in the role of Business Facilitator in September 2009.

Prior to running her own businesses, Julie-Anne worked as a marketing consultant to emerging IT businesses and was formerly SME Marketing Manager of MYOB accounting software. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Economics) and a Master of Management (Marketing). As an owner of multiple retail franchise stores, Julie-Anne has a solid understanding of all aspects of establishing and running a successful small business.

Her experience in business development includes Business planning and gaining finance, Leasing, accounts and payroll,

Financial analysis, Marketing planning and promotions, Sales and customer service, Human resources and operations management.

Do you want to gain a greater understanding of your business performance? Do you want to be able to generate meaningful reports to use in business decision making? Are you getting the most value out of your accountant, and do you know the right questions to ask them?

Understanding the financial performance of your business is essential to be able to succeed and grow. This workshop will explain how to establish meaningful reporting systems, understand and track your financial statements, and how you can use these reports to make decisions in a timely manner.

After attending the workshop you will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of setting up the right systems to create meaningful reports
  • How to calculate your breakeven point and assess the areas of your business that are more profitable
  • Use budgeting and cash flow analysis for planning
  • Use profit and loss statements to track your performance
  • Interpret your financial reports to make important business decisions
  • Get motivated by interacting with other like-minded business owners

This workshop is suitable for business owners that want to increase the financial understanding and performance of their business.
