Dianne Tipping is the founder and Managing Director of Excon International Pty Ltd. an Export Management Consultancy business that focuses on the management of Exports and International Projects on behalf of Australian Exporters throughout the world.
During the past 20 years Dianne has spent a great deal of time working with the Australian Institute of Export and various other non-government and government agencies to teach and encourage exporters to achieve their global ambitions in a safe and secure way. Dianne is a member of the NSW Advisory Board of the Australian Institute of Export and Chairman of the Education Committee.

This workshop looks at the many opportunities companies and individuals have to profit through importing. It doesn't matter if you are importing the smallest component or the finished product, to be efficient and profitable the process must be correctly managed.
Major points to be covered include
- Understand the steps in getting goods into Australia
- Identify the role and responsibilities of a Freight Forwarder
- Key tips to avoid common problems
- Understanding the various on-costs such as freight, insurance, duty, GST, terminal costs and financing charges
- Identify which charges apply to you and ways to minimize them

- Confidence ion the Import process
- Identify risks and how to avoid them
- Understand the costs of import so that you can properly cost your imports and preserve your profit margin
This workshop is suitable for Business owners, administration and operational staff from current or intending importing businesses.
