Fresh Ideas for Work and Family Grants – second round and changes to the Grant

The Australian Government introduced the Fresh Ideas for Work and Family grants program in 2009 to support Australian small businesses to implement practices that help employees balance their work and family obligations as well as improve employee retention and productivity.
The program provides grants of up to $15,000 (GST inclusive) to small businesses to help meet the set-up costs of family friendly arrangements that suit the individual needs of the business.
This no-cost seminar will give you the information you need in regards to selection criteria, how to apply and what changes have been made since the first round of offers in May 2009. These briefings are being held prior to the closing date of the second round of funding which opens on 25 February and closes on 31 March 2010.
Due to eligibility of the grant, this seminar is suitable for
- Small businesses in Australia with fewer than 15 employees
- Not-for-Profit and non-government organisations
- Sole traders and incorporated sole-traders that employ between 1 and 14 employees
- Consortia of small businesses.
Eligibility for the grant does NOT include Sole Traders with no employees, or Partnerships with no employees. You must have at least 1 employee and no more than 14 employees.
