Smart Ways to Control Costs Workshop

BEC Member, Chartered Accountant and University Lecturer, Deeb Aqabani is presenting a 3 hour practical workshop which will provide participants with a hands on approach of why, what and how you can control costs in business.
This course is suitable for anyone with a basic understanding of financial reports and analysis who wants to know more than just the basics and be able to apply it to their business. It would be particularly suitable for Business Owners, Production Managers, Team Managers, Financial Accountants and Management accountants.
At this workshop you will cover:
• Appreciating the importance of understanding your business costs.
• Understanding the interrelationship between Cost, Volume and Profit.
• Understanding the different categories of business costs and how that affects your decision making process.
• How to use Gross Profit Margin analysis as a cost “Early Warning System”.
• Determining your pricing policy based on solid costing information.
• How to use Activity Based Costing compared to the traditional Cost Accounting.
• Arbitrary cutting of costs could hurt the overall operations of the business.
• The importance of the Profit and Loss and Cash flow reports to measure and monitor costs.
