Business Planning - Basis for Success Workshop
Friday 1 August 9.30 am – 4.30 pm
 Through this workshop participants will understand the need for a written Business Plan, be given the tools to create their own plan and commence writing their own plan.
At this workshop we will cover;
- The need to plan for business success
- Understand the role and purpose of a business plan in relation to other plans (for example, a strategic or operational plan)
- Be aware of business negotiation / communication skills
- Be aware of the planning process
- Set objectives for the business
- Conduct an environmental analysis
- Perform a TOWS analysis
- Interpret the results of the TOWS analysis
- Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the business
- Adopt a model to assist in writing their own business plan
- Identify the key factors to be included in their business plan
- Start writing objectives to cover the key business plan items
- Complete a one page business plan
- Understand how to use and update a business plan
- Identify sources of assistance and information including Website addresses
The importance of cash flow, new technology as a business tool and customer service will be reinforced throughout the workshop.
This is a small group interactive workshop where participants discuss their own business ideas and seek feedback and advice. If sufficient demand this workshop can be run on a Saturday
