Membership Information

The Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) is a non-profit organisation established to support local business prosper and grow. The BEC is only successful when you our members succeed in your individual businesses.

The BEC provides business with advice, seminars and networking opportunities. We understand that running a business can be very stressful and very lonely and that it takes a wide range of skills to cover all the major functions of a successful business. At the BEC we try to provide a one stop shop for all your business needs and to facilitate networking and promote business opportunities between members.

We are funded by The Federal Government via AusIndustry, State Government through Industry & Investment NSW and enjoy the patronage of Hurstville, Rockdale, Kogarah and Sutherland Councils and the St George and Sutherland Shire Leader as well as our members.

Membership ranges from $176 (inc GST) for Start Up Businesses in their first year of operation to $1,584 (Inc GST) for Corporate Members allowing access benefits to all employees of that local office.

Your membership supports and grows your local BEC to provide more resources to our small business community.  This, in turn, promotes economic and social welfare and development through local employment, training and growth of our region.

Membership Benefits

• A Business Advisory Service from an experienced impartial Business Facilitator. You are entitled to 2 initial consultations at no cost. Once becoming a financial member you will receive an additional 5 Business Advisory consultations at no cost.
  
  
• Reduced rates to BEC workshops and events.
  
  
• 2 x $50 Training Vouchers per year per membership.
  
  
• A listing for your business in the Members’ Business Directory on the BEC website. The Business Directory will give you a link direct to your website and your contact details. The BEC website enjoys a very high listing with major search engines.
  
  
• Inclusion on BEC Referral Sheet given to all businesses that attend a Business Advisory Service at each of our three locations.
  
  
• Reduced hire rates for Board Room & Training Room usage.
  
  
• Free usage of Interview Room (bookings necessary).
  
  
• Opportunity to advertise special offers to BEC members via regular email alerts and through our website for genuine “BEC Only” offers.
  
  
• Opportunities to share your business case studies and articles on our site.
