Camille Valvo Wins Speaking Award
Professional emcee, speaker coach and Shire business woman, Camille Valvo has been awarded the
2007 Walter Dickman Award for her contribution to the National Speakers Association of Australia
(NSAA) and for her service to the wider community.
Named after the founder of the speaking industry in Australia, this is for people who have given service above and beyond that expected of them to assist or promote the professional speaking industry.
Camille has been a member of NSAA since 2000, serving on the National board in 2005 and 2006. While President of the NSW chapter in 2006 she ran a successful awareness campaign with professional networking groups such as Connect, and the Last Thursday Club as well as industry publications Main Event Magazine and Training Australia Magazine. She also presented at various industry trade events, to promote the opportunity to work with professional NSW speakers.
On a local level, Camille has served as a mentor for the Stepping up Programme run by the Business Enterprise Centre -St. George and Sutherland Shire (BEC). She has also volunteered her professional emcee services to the BEC and various charity organisations such as the NSW Cancer Council, Bonnie Babes Foundation and the Homicide Victims Support Group, to name a few.

Camille regularly Emcees our networking night and has added to the professionalism and enjoyment of this important annual function.”
This recent award adds to Camille’s success as she was chosen as the ‘Voice of God’ for the National Speakers USA conference in Orlando in 2006 as well as being awarded National Speakers Association of Australia, NSW Emcee of the Year.
