What is the China Lunch Room

Aims of the China Lunch Room

The Aim of the China Lunch Room is to assist local businesses successfully trade with China and to encourage Chinese and non Chinese businesses to work together in order to improve and grow their respective businesses, thereby increasing regional employment and export opportunities.

Meeting Pattern & Dates for 2010

Members of the “China Lunch Room” meet at St George Leagues Club approximately every 4 months for 3 hrs over lunch on the second Friday of the Month from 12 noon to 3.00pm. Tea and coffee and a light lunch is provided.

History of the China Lunch Room

The St George and Sutherland Enterprise Centre (BEC) & Tradestart facilitated regular meeting and seminars for local businesses interested in trade with China over the past 2 years. These events, known as the ‘China Lunch Room’ have attracted interest from a broad cross section of businesses.

A number of key state, federal and international government agencies recognized the potential for this group to develop and grow and have formed an Organising Team established under the overarching umbrella of the BEC. This team has dramatically increased the profile of this network and would eventually like to see the “China Lunch Room” host their own Trade Shows and Trade Missions.

China Lunch Room Gains Public Recognition

Awareness of the China Lunch Room is spreading fast and has been the subject of presentations to a number of regional and national conferences as well as being a feature article in the Business Section of the Daily Telegraph on Wednesday 5th November. Read the article HERE
