Between 1987 and 1994, Dean worked at the global accountancy and advisory firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers in their Business Services, Taxation and Insolvency Divisions.
Dean completed a Commerce Degree majoring in accountancy at the University of New South Wales in 1991, a Law Degree at the University of Technology , Sydney in 1994 and a Masters Degree in Law from the University of New South Wales in 2000, specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law.
Dean commenced practice as a solicitor with Warren McKeon Dickson in 1995 and joined the firm as a partner in 1996.
