Proud Sponsors of the BEC
As a Not for Profit organisation that is membership driven the BEC is reliant of the support of its major funder, The Department of State and Regional Development as well as our Patrons and members. The State Government through the Department of State and Regional Development provides significant funding to a network of BEC’s throughout NSW. Our BEC is funded to provide free a confidential Business Advisory Service as well as a range of Mentoring Programs and seminars.
Local Government plays a key role in supporting and monitoring local businesses and as such supports the valuable role the BEC plays in assisting businesses to establish themselves and then to grow and prosper. As well as providing designated professionals to assist businesses at a Local Government level, each of the four local councils also provide cash and in kind assistance to the BEC. Together the BEC and local councils run numerous joint ventures and work collaboratively to ensure the best possible range of integrated services and support for local businesses.
The St George & Sutherland Shire Leader is another Patron that provides substantial support through free advertising and event sponsorship. Access to advertising through the Leader assists the BEC to raise awareness of our services amongst the local business community and to ensure more businesses know how to access the services they need.
